The Movember Challenge is OVER! We finished the challenge with an awesome Mo Social party – Dj Spin with Jacopo, pizza sponsored by Boston Pizza and beer from Sweetgrass Brewery!

Congratulations to Paul, Matt and Wendy who ALL tied for the Movember TOP Rider at the studio! They rode 22 days out of 25 (3 mandatory rest days)!

Congratulations also goes out to Gavin for growing the BEST moustache this month, and to Barb for being our TOP fundraiser on our Movember CYKL Team! We couldn’t be MORE proud of our team, studio and community this month! We raise $2300 for Movember this year! THANK YOU for being the best riders and making CYKL such an awesome place to ride!

Movember Challenge & Mo Social

The 3 Hour Ride for Martin on Sunday Nov 30th was a HUGH SUCCESS! Not only did we sweat it up for 3 awesome hours to Dj Earlscourt and his fantastic playlist, we also raised over $3000 for Martin and Kara!!! This is INCREDIBLE. CYKL proves again to have the best community of riders in the Toronto! You’re generosity will go along way to helping Martin heal and recovery from cancer.

In addition, we want to say THANK YOU to Vega Sports Nutrtition for providing us with recover protein for our shakes after the ride. Thank you to the Village Juicery for sampling your delicious cold pressed juice. Thank you to Moksha Yoga Downtown, Thor Espresso, and DLux for providing amazing prizes for the silent auction table.

What an amazing day it was!

CYKL hits up Blue Mountain one more time! Join us on September 26th-28th for a weekend of cycling, eating, relaxing and FUN!

Final Weekend Getaway for the Season!

Just a quick post to say that our team of 19 riders ended up raising $55,400 for the Princess Margaret Hospital and rode over 200km in this year’s Ride to Conquer Cancer!

It was an EPIC weekend! We had riders of all abilities on our team, some veterans of the RTCC and some brand new to the ride and cycling as a whole! Regardless of the numerous flat tires, our ENTIRE TEAM finished on Sunday in Niagara Falls crying, laughing, smiling and feeling proud of what they accomplished. We know that the journey over the weekend is nothing compared to what those touched by cancer are going through, but we know the money raised and awareness will help conquer cancer in our lifetime.

RIDE TO CONQUER CANCER!

We launched the 6 Week CYKL Nutrition program with Kelsey this past Monday night! Each week we’ll be posting a little recap on what Kelsey discussed, as well as a little “nutra-quiz” to test your nutritional knowledge!

CYKL Nutrition Week 1 – Recap!

Monday night we had our awesome participants attend their first of 6 nutrition seminars with me at CYKL. After some brief introductions (which included admitting to our favourite healthy foods, as well as our most favourite guilty pleasures… *cookies and poutine*) we cut right to the heart of it all by chatting about how to enjoy a whole foods diet in a world of information and choice-overload!

Here’s a sneak peak of our hot topics from the evening:

- Is there a magic ratio of carbs vs. fat vs. protein that we should be consuming?

- Does the pH of your body matter?

- Are multivitamins effective?

- Do I diet, or shift my lifestyle once and for all?

- Should I go Paleo, Vegan, or neither?

CYKL Nutrition Week 1!

Back on Sept 19th, CYKL had an extra-sassy Body Break themed charity ride to support Jordan and his upcoming bike ride across Western Canada in support of Movember.

He’s looking to raise $100,000 for Movember – the moustache tooting Men’s Cancer charity, and he’s riding from Vancouver to Toronto with 2 other friends to reach his goal and spread awareness!

CYKL thought this was pretty awesome!!!! Cycling for a great cause is right up our ally! So, as Jordan embarks on his cycling adventure for the next month or so, CYKL will continue to support him by selling his Mo Ride Canada t-shirts for $25 (all proceeds go to Movember) in the studio. Pick one up today!

Mo’ Ride Across Canada

Riding on the success of our first CYKL 50/50 Program, we’re happy to announce the second edition of our CYKL 50/50 Program starting Thursday July 19th!

What is CYKL 50/50 Program?

It’s science based change coaching and health nutrition for everyone.

Beginning with a body pumping CYKL45 class at 6pm, you’ll work out then transition into a small group (8 people max) session led by, Body Transformation Expert, Kyle Byron. This session will run from 45 mins to 1 hour depending on the topic and discussion. There will be 15mins between the workout and group session to get shower, change and grab a snack. The program is 6 weeks in length.
