A fabulous rider at CYKL named Geoff Poole is riding from Vancouver to Halifax for Kids Cancer Research with the Sears Coast to Coast Ride. He has a lofty goal of raising $25,000, so CYKL decided to help him get started!

We’ll be hosting a fundraising ride for Geoff on Sunday April 14th at 1pm. It’ll be a 45 min class for all abilities and ages, followed by some baked goods and coffee (the real reason we ride)!

If you’re free, we encourage you to come on out and support the cause!

CYKL Coast to Coast Cost: $50 (yes, you’ll get a tax receipt)

Here’s a little more info on Geoff and the cause!

My name is Geoff Poole and I have been accepted as a member of the Sears National Kids Cancer Ride in September. I will be part of a group cycling from Vancouver to Halifax to raise funds to support pediatric oncology hospitals and childhood cancer programs in Canada.

The Coast to Coast Against Cancer Foundation is a volunteer based, sponsor supported organization dedicated to helping childhood cancer patients and their families live with and beyond cancer. 100% of funds donated go to the charity.

I have committed to raise $25,000 for the Coast-to-Coast ride and I need all the help I can get.

Well, we’re almost half way through our March Madness Challenge at the studio and we have some serious contenders!!

We’ve seen riders who are normally here at night, wake up at the crack of dawn to ride the early morning class just for those 2 extra points! We’ve had riders re-arrange client meetings and work from home, so they could make it to lunch time classes that are worth 3pts!

Sam (who’s no stranger to our challenges here at CYKL) leads the challenge with 24pts, but fast on his heels is Melissa (Tour de France Challenge Winner 2011) with 23pts. Laural-lee and Vince are battling it out for 3rd place with 22pts each!

The madness continues until March 28th, when we crown the March Madness winner!
